Head’s welcome
A Welcome from our Headteacher
Radnor House Prep does things differently. There is no narrow focus on the 11+. Instead, we prioritise curiosity, confidence and a genuine love of learning, giving pupils the space to explore, question and think for themselves.
What sets the school apart is not just what happens in lessons, but everything around them the energy as pupils arrive, the focus when ideas take hold, and the laughter across the playground.
Every child is treated as an individual, deliberately. Our teachers understand how each pupil thinks and shape their teaching accordingly. We call it “stretch without stress”: high expectations, real challenge, and the support to succeed without losing the enjoyment of learning.
We work closely with our families to build a strong community around each child, ensuring every pupil leaves ready for a seamless transition into Year 7 at our senior school, Radnor House, soon to be Kneller Hall – confident and ready for what comes next.
Kindness, respect and strong relationships underpin it all. They define the culture.

Who We Are
We create opportunities for every child to thrive, both inside and outside the classroom. Our environment is energetic, supportive and kind, where pupils feel encouraged to take part, challenge themselves and grow in confidence.
Through a broad and balanced experience, children develop curiosity, resilience and a genuine enthusiasm for learning, preparing them to embrace new challenges with independence and a strong sense of self.
