We are very excited to announce the opening of our new co-educational Prep school for girls and boys aged 2 -11 years old, currently based in spacious modern premises in Richmond.
Radnor House Prep places a holistic lens over the curriculum; teaching children to challenge the question and then find their answers. Teaching them to seek, explore, dare to try and be unafraid to fail. To balance a healthy mind with a healthy body. To learn who they are and their place in the world.
We offer a broad and exciting curriculum with a focus on extending the skills and abilities of each individual pupil, inspiring young minds to love learning and, at the same time, providing a solid values-based foundation.
The size of our facilities at Pope’s Villa, our permanent home which we will move into when Radnor House senior school transitions to its new home at Kneller Hall, will provide the opportunity for an extensive co-curricular offering with a focus on STEM skills in three purpose-built specialist laboratories, alongside the development of art and technology within our specialist art, design, and technology suites. The school has a large gym which doubles as a theatre, music practice and performance spaces, and there will be a fully refurbished library and breakout learning space.
Our excellent academic provision ensures either direct transfer to one of the excellent local Dukes senior schools, which include Kneller Hall School and Hampton Court House, or provides excellent preparation for competitive 11+ examinations to other senior schools in the area.
As a non-selective school, we welcome children of all abilities and with a variety of learning needs. It is our view that all children learn from each other’s differences and our school community benefits from being inclusive and diverse in every way possible. At Radnor Prep, we will be extremely lucky to have access to senior school-level facilities at Pope’s Villa in the future, including a gym, theatre, music rooms, science labs and performance spaces. These will provide ample opportunities for our students to explore and express their passions outside the classroom. Until then, our Kew Foot Road site provides us with two superb STEAM spaces, a science lab, rooms for music, drama and, now much closer, plenty of space for PE and Games for all, including competitive sports fixtures at Richmond Rugby Club. There is a lovely spacious playground, access to a swimming pool, school hall and library.
